Well my weekend is half over and I have yet to really do much besides work!  I sat for an old lady for 8 1/2 hours today.  I am reminded again of my oath to never work in a nursing home!  I am definitely not cut out for it!  Blessings to those who are called to this line of work!  I think I'll stick with babies!!!

On to more newsier news...I am both sad and relieved/happy to announce that I am selling my car!  Sad to let go of my 'first' car, but definitely ready to get rid of it while I can still  get money out of it!  It is 10 years old so I think it's time!  I guess I shouldn't say relieved until I actually have the cash in hand to prove it's actually 'sellable'!  Anybody need a car???

Hey y'all!  Time gets away from me when I'm busy!  I didn't realize that it's been over 2 months since I updated!  Life is going real well...so glad the warmer weather is here to stay!  I can legally wear flip-flops again!!!  (I wear them sometimes when it's cold and always get yelled at by someone!)

Work is going great!  I love my little guys!  They've adapted to me really well.  I have to say this...They are SOOO Cute!!!  Really. The 1 yr. old, Lucky, has three favorite words.  Puppy, Binky, and NO!  The kid is obsessed with dogs!  And you've never seen a kid that loves to go night-night like he does!  It's awesome!  The thing that isn't so awesome is the overused word NO.  The 2 yr. old, Vik, likes that word too.  We are working on them and they aren't quite as bad as they were...They do know that "You don't say no to Miss Ruthie"!!!   Vik's favorite word is WHY.  He is also starting with a stuttering problem.  His mind is going way faster then he can spit it out and it makes for some trying times!  I do think my gray-hair count is growing!  They are really sweet boys though, and we have a lot of fun times!  They would be content to play bubbles alllll day if I'd let them!  One day Vik and I did bubbles for an hour and a half!  That was almost too much, except for the fact that we were outside and I was catching some sun!

I've been staying busy outside of work too just doing this and that.  My days are always full, but sometimes I have to think really hard what DID I do yesterday?  I had off last Thursday and Friday so I went camping with Loren and his school kids.  I had to quit Kids Klub for a while because of my work schedule being in the evenings, but my hours changed now so I'm back at it!  It was fun to be there again last week.  We have one more evening left before a summer break.  I was at my first Air Show a couple weeks ago.  It was awesome!  We also went biking with a couple of friends one afternoon/evening.  Awesome trail, but I'm not used to biking too much.  We biked 24 miles that day!  I was sore in some places for a while after that!

I'm still thinking over something we talked about in Sunday School a couple weeks ago.  We had to say if there was anything we could change about our appearances, what it would be?  I said I have too many things to even start naming them.   You know...if only.  I had to think then how often do I think about what I CAN change about my character and personality?  Do I care enough about inner-beauty to work on it, or is my outward appearance all that is important to me?

Until next time!  Ruthie

Happy Birthday to me!  Yes...another year has rolled around!  My biggest goal of the day was to sleep in, which I did, but I kept waking up.....grr.  That's what happens when you train yourself to get up so early in the morning!

My main reason for updating is to make an announcement!

And NO I'm not engaged!  (Everybody thinks that when I let them know I have something I want to tell them!)

After much prayer and consideration I have decided the time has come to move on from working at Choice.  I have turned in my resignation and as of this past week people are officially finding out about it.  People haven't exactly been the nicest about it...but I guess that's not my problem although I've had to take an effort to not let the things they say hurt my feelings.  I have two weeks left before I start my new job.  I'm going to be a Nanny to a family of 3 boys!  It's mostly just 2 that I'll be taking care of but the oldest boy will be around sometimes.  Their ages are 7, 2, & 1.  I AM really excited about it!  It's something I've always wanted to do and I'm one that believes in doing something you enjoy and something you receive purpose from in life.  It seems like a big step for me, but I've been working for them on the side and have really enjoyed the family and my work already!  So I guess the next several weeks/months will be an adjustment for me as I learn a new type of job and schedule!  Loren has been so supportive and a great help in making this decision!  ....I don't know what I'd do without him!

Well I have food that needs preparing. (I'm hostess at church tomorrow-how glamorous!)  I want to get the stuff made so I can celebrate my still-young age the rest of the day!!!

Wish me luck!!!  (I'll be accepting presents all week!)

We finally got enough snow this last weekend to get snowed in!!!  It was so awesome to wake up to huge snowflakes and thinking 'Ah - I can go back to bed instead of getting ready for church'!!!  The majority of my day was spent sleeping.  Yeees!  You see - I got a new mattress about a week ago and I am lovin' it!  My old one was a back breaker!  It had this HUGE dip in it.  Anyway, so I decided it's worth paying some $$ for a decent mattress instead of a chiropractor visit every other week!  So the past two weeks have been really hard to get up in the mornings!  Not only am I too busy and getting small amounts of sleep but the new mattress just feels SO GOOD!

So to sum up:

The snow was nice.

The snow was fun.

I like my new mattress.

I like to oversleep.

I'm tired and stressed out.  (I think this post is proof of that.)

Oh, and now that we've had 'our snow', I'm really ready for Spring!!!
